So, how much is all of this going to cost?

This is by far the most common question we hear. And rightly so. Your home is a significant investment, and you want to make sure you’re also investing in the best, long-lasting repair solutions.

To give you an idea, HomeAdvisor estimates the average cost of crawl space repair to be $6,000, with a wide range depending on the exact problem, size, accessibility and what’s being removed.

That being said, if you call in to ask our office or search our site for the answer, odds are you aren’t going to get a clear picture right off the bat. And we understand how frustrating it can be to not get a straight answer right away. But there is a lot to consider when talking about repair work.

First off, it’s not fair to you to give a rough estimate or ballpark figure when we have no idea what we’re dealing with. That’s why it’s important to have an inspector out to look at exactly what is going on with the crawl space.

Other factors like the extent of damage, square footage, and how much material needs to be used also need to be considered.

There isn’t a “one size fits all” fix for crawl spaces. What worked for a friend or neighbor down the street might not be exactly what your home needs. Every home and every crawl space is different and requires its own unique repair solutions.

The best thing you can do is educate yourself about your crawl space and research repair contractors who will be able to find the best solution to your repair needs. Once you meet with a contractor, don’t be afraid to have an open and honest discussion about the cost of repair. Odds are, your contractor of choice will be able to take your budget into consideration and work with you on payment and financing options.
